Our Focus
Our focus is pretty specific. We promote spiritual
growth and attempt to reach, for Christ, all who come to the grounds.
Our Purpose
The
purpose of Camp Marietta shall be to promote spiritual growth and to exhaust every
effort to reach for Christ all unsaved who come to these grounds; a
place where the Spirit of God can speak to the individual and where
there can be an emphasis on training in spiritual depth and
understanding.
Opportunities shall be provided for becoming more aware of God’s love,
Christ’s death on the cross for the sins of all people, Christian
witnessing through everyday living and ways to appreciate God’s
beautiful world.
A
sincere effort shall be made to maintain a Christ like spirit of living
together. In such an atmosphere friendships, teamwork,
cooperation, unselfishness, sportsmanship and many other desirable
traits can be taught and practiced. Recreation, camp-craft, bible
study, ropes course exercises, nature experiences, and other wholesome
activities shall be used to seek the interest of the campers.
*Please note: Camp Marietta is no longer just a GA camp. The camp is
open for any child/youth no matter their affiliation. The camper does
not have to go to church in order to come to camp.*
