Meet Our New Camp Director Matthew Thomas 
-Hometown: Wallhalla, SC -Currently Finishing his Masters in Christian Ministries at North Greenville University -Matthew Thomas has taken the role of Camp Director and heads into this great adventure with his wife Amanda, and soon to be son Rivers. Learning through experience has been his passion as God has lead him into many different roles of leadership. Matthew has served in the outdoor leadership/experiential education field and has over 8 years in the camping industry. He considers his work to be a passion for the outdoors fused with the love God has given him for children and forming community in an outdoor setting. He has worked in summer camps, day camps, and even held roles in environmental education in the state parks. Matthew is a member of American Camp Association (ACA), which has allowed him to visit other camps and gather information for creating a wonderful camp experience. Matthew is looking forward to the challenges that will come as he and the 2012 camp staff serve the Lord as they serve the campers at Marietta Baptist Camp. -Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 121:1-2: "I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?
